TODAY'S
PHOTO -
pine needles behind a tree limb in Wakodahatchee
Wetlands
This week's hat and feet photographs were quite
different from the Nature ones I usually feature
in Picture to Ponder. I felt the need last night
and today to get back to Nature, so I went "walking"
through several folders of photographs.
When on the actual walk in Wakodahatchee a couple
of months ago these pine needles caught my eye simply
for the way they were peeking out over the limb.
Last night it was the brightness. the depth and
the richness of color that captured and kept my
attention. I also find it interesting that despite
the fact that most of the needles are dead, there
is an aliveness to the picture.
For those who like to play
with possible other images in our photos I find
these pine needles a fitting conclusion to the week
in that I see what could be a hat. On the other
hand Sam saw it all as fireworks and quickly went
to get a photo he took of fireworks over a castle
(white blur, lower left) in Heidelberg, Germany
many years ago. See FIREWORKS.
This weekend I invite you to look for objects of
people peeking out from behind other things. Make
it a great weekend.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
When you need a change of scenery - real or in your
mind - where do you go? Perhaps you want the feeling
of being uplifted. What do you do?
Do you remember your answers to the above at those
times, or would it serve you to write them down
now, or note them in some way, so that you can quickly
call them up in the future?
The invitation to look for physical "peeking
out" objects this weekend could also apply
to thoughts or ideas. Are there some almost hidden
ones in your thoughts patiently waiting to grab
your attention?
As always, have fun with
this.
READERS' HAT RESPONSES
-
Per my mention in Issue 178, Joel Grubman wrote
the piece on his ARMY
HAT . Click on that link to read what he wrote,
if you haven't already. On the same page, now, are
HAT
MEMORIES by Zannie Rose in England.
If anyone else has a hat story you'd like to share,
I will add it to the PTP Response pages, if you
wish. Email
it, along with a photo if you have, to me with permission
to use your name.
AUDIO TESTIMONIALS -
Have you yet checked out the 28 second message from
Sondra,
who shares the impact on her life of a custom photo/drawing
of her father done by me?
Have you listened to Judith Tramayne-Barth and Renee
Kleckner on our AUDIO
LINKS page, where Judith also describes how easy
it is to record a message? I'd love to have your voice
there also. A sentence or two is more than enough, if
you are person of a few words.
I will publish the link for yours in Picture to Ponder
and on the testimonial
page on the eteletours site. You can call in yourself
at (214) 231-2905 ext 6956 or, if you wish,
e-mail me to set a time and I can call you and 3-way
you in and simply listen while you talk.
