TODAY'S
PHOTO -
a fisherman's net, cast on Delray Beach.
This is one of the NATUR-al Collages, to which I referred
yesterday. For those who missed it, a lot of what
I was seeing and framing with my camera, on my July
4th sunrise walk, began to have the feeling of "collages"
and I coined the term "NATUR-al COLLAGES"
for those image pictures being formed by Nature.
Although the fisherman was involved in this one, since
he simply threw it down, I say it was the forces of
Nature that created the random picture. I love the
colors, including that of the seaweed, the play of
light and the movement and flow of the net and the
cord.
One of the definitions of "collage" found
on the web states that it is: " An artistic composition
of materials and objects pasted over a surface, often
with unifying lines and color." The NATUR-al
Collages, of course are not pasted down, and are thus
permanent only in our memories or in a photograph.
Although I myself am not one who collages regularly,
I know that there is a community of collagers in this
subscriber base. I' am curious as to how
you perceive this photo in relating to collaging.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES
-
Look around you today at some aspect of Nature and
objects that might be strewn, or otherwise, randomly
arranged on the ground. Can you find anything that
you might call a NATUR-al collage?
Also, tune into any random occurences which can be
reinterpreted with new meanings for you. Have fun.
