LAST ISSUE'S IMAGERY -
The BIRD caught my attention as we were walking
on the boardwalk at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Following
my practice of photographing almost anything that
catches my attention, I took a few pictures of it.
I became even more entranced with the image as I
look at it while I wrote - the grace of its head
and neck, the fullness of the rear view of its body
tapering down to a slender tail. I also love the
contrast with the dark greens of the scene.
Interestingly, a little later a total different
image caught my eye, across the water. I was certain,
at first that it was a cypress
knee and IT turned out to be a bird, an Anhinga,
that was absolutely still for several minutes, at
least. I only knew for sure when I was able to magnify
it, beyond what the telephoto lens was indicating,
and saw its feathers.
I am beginning to see a "Not Seemings"
theme developing. If you wish, spend some time observing
today, "where in your life may there things/situations
that are not what you think they are?"
