TODAY'S PHOTOS -
unidentified orchids are again from our visit last
week to the American Orchid Society Gardens.
I am intrigued by the shapes and images of this
orchid and there was something about the photo
with several flowers that called to me. It is
somewhat chaotic or busy, filled with beautiful
colors and shapes. Though not a "fine"
photo, I got the feeling and message of "Lost
in the Crowd." I wanted you also to experience
the "full scene." In addition, I wished
to give you the opportunity to focus on the individual
flower, thus the photo
on the right.
Once again, my way of resolving my "which one?"
conflict is to present you with both. Since the
time this question came up several issues ago, have
you paid attention to the ways you resolve challenges?
Back to today's developing theme - "Lost in
the Crowd".
Husband Sam's immediate response was, "Lost
in the crowd on 5th Avenue in Manhattan."
My thoughts have included, "Lost in the crowd
of: thoughts, to-dos, desires, responsibilities,
even sensory perceptions..." I wonder if there
could be such a thing as lost in the crowd of joy?
Would that feel any lighter, or is it the "lost"
that's the heavy part?
Have you felt lost in a crowd? How have you found
your way out?
I'm thinking as I conclude here today, one way is
to focus on one image at a time, as I did in the
second photo here.
READER COMMENTS ON THE LAST ISSUE - Issue

"Oh, they look like Christmas tree lights
-- how they glow! I love it!" Marney
K. Makridakis
"Today's photograph was so beautiful that I
couldn't let it pass without comment. I see a row
of cheeky little faces boldly and mischievously
inquisitive. I can almost hear their impudent
searching questions. These little ladies will
seek out the secrets of your soul and leave you
laughing. Orchids are my favourite flowers and these
are perfection." Maria
Doherty
"I have to comment Sheila.......can you see
the difference in shade of yellow from yesterdays
PTP [the pink and green leaves]
to today's
[the pink and yellow phaelanopsis]?
This picture is totally a joy to look at and drink
in. It makes me feel so good, light, and sweet!!!
This shade of yellow with the mix of white is so
soothing to the eye and has toned down the color
in a creamy way. I feel invigorated to wanting
to share this picture with friends, or try to pick
those flowers as something to give to tell someone
how special they are :-) LOVE THIS PICTURE!"

Ciocci, who gave us the color
analysis on Friday.
